Racing takes place on Wednesday evenings and Sundays. There is one race on Wednesdays normally starting at 6.30pm. Sundays there are 3 starting at 11.30am, 1.30pm and 3.00pm. Each race lasts approximately 1 hour and will use the RYA recommended started sequence.
APPROXIMATELY 10 MINUTES BEFORE THE START OF THE RACE
Horn sounds and the Answering Pennant breaks out to remind all boats to be on the water before the 4 minute signal.
6 MINUTES BEFORE START
Answering Pennant lowered and one horn signal (no flags flying)
5 MINUTES BEFORE START
Class flag H breaks out and one horn signal (this is a time signal) (one flag flying)
4 MINUTES BEFORE START
Preparatory signal flag I breaks out and one horn signal (two flags flying)
1 MINUTE BEFORE START
Flag I lowered and buzzer or bell rings (one flag flying)
AT STARTING TIME
Class flag H lowered and one horn signal (no flags flying)

RECREATIONAL SAILORS ARE WELCOME TO SAIL WHILE RACING IS TAKING PLACE BUT IT IS APPRECIATED IF THEY CAN GIVE WAY TO RACERS WHERE POSSIBLE AND PLEASE AVOID THE START AND FINISH LINES.
