SAILING SEASON

The main season runs from March to November with racing and casual sailing every Sunday and most Bank Holidays. From April to September, we have sailing on Saturday afternoons and both sailing and racing on Wednesday evenings. Each race lasts about an hour and there are 3 races on Sundays starting at 1130, 1330 and 1500. Wednesday’s race starts at 1830.

There is a pre-season Icebreaker Series from January to March, but this is reserved for experienced sailors.

Safety boat cover is provided for all Club sailing sessions.

When other groups (school, etc) are sailing during the week, they are happy for club members to sail, taking advantage of their safety boat cover. Be sure to check with whoever is in charge before you rig your boat.

As well as casual sailing and racing, with special races for beginners, we have various charity and fun events at the club and we also sail with other local clubs.

We would like new members to feel they are part of our club from the first day they arrive.  If you are unsure about anything or would just like advice on sailing your boat please make yourself known to a committee member.
