You’ll find a friendly welcome, for all ages and abilities, at Durleigh Sailing Club.
We have an extensive diary allowing members to sail on Wednesday evenings whilst daylight permits, Saturday afternoons, all day Sunday and Bank Holidays. There are a number of race series’s throughout the season on all days except Saturday.
The season runs from March to late November. For those wishing to continue racing during the winter months, there is a very popular Icicle Series held from January to March.
The galley and club house provide a meeting place, snacks and drinks.
SYCSA and DSC have been awarded RYA Volvo Championship Club Development Status and we promote junior participation in the club. A joint initiative in 2010 provided high quality race coaching and racing for our junior members.
We welcome sailors who wish to sail around our beautiful water. There is no need to race if you do not wish to, and no member should ever feel that they cannot use the water when the club is open. Anyone can sail during normal club hours whether racing is taking place or not. However, if you want to have a go there are always experienced helms who will be more than happy to help you out.
We have a number of boats available for hire to both members and visitors. We welcome visiting sailors and offer a temporary membership if required.
The club is open to members with manned safety cover on Wednesday evenings from 18:00 hrs to 20:00 hrs, Saturday afternoons from 14:00 hrs to 17:00 hrs, Sundays from 10:30 hrs to 17:00 hrs and Bank Holidays from 10:30 hrs to 17:00hrs. Please see events for more details.
